Q
What is the maximum sterilization temperature for this orthopedic bone drill?
The standard sterilization temperature should not exceed 135°C (Improved types can withstand up to 155°C). Exceeding this limit will cause permanent damage to the motor.
Q
Can the battery be sterilized along with the main tool?
No. The battery is not resistant to high temperatures and cannot be sterilized. It must be removed from the handpiece before sterilization.
Q
How should the battery be stored when the tool is not in use?
The battery must be taken out of the power tool immediately after surgery. Keeping it inside will cause a slow automatic discharge, which significantly shortens the overall battery life.
Q
How many times can the cranial bur blade be used?
The blade is made of medical stainless steel. To maintain flexibility and prevent breakage, it is not hardened excessively. Consequently, it wears out easily, and we recommend using each blade for only one surgery.
Q
What are the cleaning and maintenance guidelines for the cranial bur?
The cranial bur must be cleaned with a purger immediately after the procedure to prevent blood from sticking. It must be thoroughly dried. Additionally, ensure the battery compartment in the handpiece remains completely dry after sterilization.
