Operating Notes & Maintenance Guidelines
  • Sterilize temperature ≤ 135 °C (Improved type ≤ 155 °C ), if the temperature is over 135 °C, the motor could be damaged.
  • Normal bone drill can only hold drill bits less than 6mm, acetabulum reaming drill with big torque, rpm is around 300, canulate drill is used with nail or K wire, rpm is around 600.
  • The battery needs to be removed from the power tool after surgery. Otherwise, the small automatic discharge will shorten the battery life.
  • The battery cannot be sterilized, it is not autoclavable.
  • The cranial bur must be washed right after the surgery by purger in order to avoid blood sticking in the bur; ensure it stays dry.
  • The battery space in the handpiece of the tool should not have any water after sterilization.
  • The cranial bur blade is made of medical stainless steel. To avoid breakage, it is flexible and not very hard. Since it is easy to wear out, we suggest each blade only be used for 1 surgery.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
What is the sterilization limit for the HAS-B100 power tools?
The standard sterilization temperature should not exceed 135 °C. However, the improved model can withstand sterilization temperatures up to 155 °C. Exceeding these limits can cause damage to the internal motor.
Can the battery pack be sterilized in an autoclave?
No, the battery pack is not autoclavable and cannot be sterilized. Please ensure the battery is removed from the handpiece prior to placing the tool in a sterilization chamber.
How long does the battery last on a full charge?
With a battery capacity of 1400mAh, the system can continuously run for approximately 30 minutes once fully charged.
What are the recommended drill sizes and rotational speeds?
The standard bone drill holds bits smaller than 6mm. The acetabulum reaming drill runs at around 300 rpm for high torque operations, and the cannulated drill operates at about 600 rpm when used with nails or K-wires.
What is the warranty coverage for the HAS-B100 system?
We provide a 1-year warranty for the complete machine, a 2-year warranty for the motor, and a 3-month warranty for the battery as well as other fast-consumption elements.
How should the cranial bur blades be maintained?
The cranial bur blade is made of medical-grade stainless steel which is designed to be flexible rather than overly rigid. Because it is prone to wear, we suggest replacing the blade after each surgical procedure. Always clean and dry the bur immediately after surgery to prevent blood buildup.
